How Freight Nexus works
Freight Nexus connects businesses that need to move cargo with verified transporters across Africa — and gives both sides the tools to manage the entire job digitally.
For businesses
No more WhatsApp groups, no more chasing three companies to find one truck. Post once, get quotes, track the job, get paid — digitally, end to end.
Post your load in 2 minutes
Describe your cargo: commodity, quantity, pickup and delivery location, required truck type, and date. Add any special instructions (dangerous goods, temperature requirements, etc.).
Receive competitive quotes fast
Verified transporters on Freight Nexus get notified immediately. Most loads receive their first quote within 2 hours. You see each transporter's rating, compliance status, and past delivery record alongside their price.
Compare and award with one click
View all quotes side by side. Compare on price, transporter reputation, availability, and compliance health. Award the job — the transporter is notified instantly with full dispatch instructions.
Track your shipment live
Follow every status update in real time: truck dispatched, loading confirmed, in transit, approaching destination. Your team always knows where the cargo is without calling anyone.
Receive digital Proof of Delivery
The driver captures a digital POD at destination — photos, recipient signature, timestamp, GPS coordinates. It's automatically attached to your job record and available forever.
Approve invoice and pay
The transporter generates a professional invoice directly from the job. You review, approve, and pay. Everything is documented — no disputes about what was agreed.

For transporters
Stop driving empty. Freight Nexus gives you a live feed of loads on your routes, handles compliance tracking, and makes invoicing painless.
Register your fleet once
Add your trucks, trailers, and drivers. Upload compliance documents — vehicle licences, driver PDP, operator permits, cross-border docs. Freight Nexus tracks every expiry date automatically and alerts you before anything lapses.
Browse the live load board
See every open load that matches your truck type and routes, updated in real time. Filter by corridor, commodity, urgency, or pickup date. No more hunting through WhatsApp groups.
Submit quotes in seconds
Tap a load, enter your price and notes, submit. Your quote automatically shows your rating, compliance status, and delivery track record to the client. A strong profile wins jobs.
Win jobs and get dispatched
When a client awards you, you receive full dispatch instructions instantly: pickup address, contact details, load specs, special requirements. No back-and-forth needed.
Manage the delivery digitally
Update job status from your phone — loading, in transit, delivered. Capture digital Proof of Delivery with photos and signature. Your client sees every update in real time.
Invoice and track payment
Generate a professional invoice directly from the completed job — it's pre-filled with all the details. Send it, track when the client views it, and see when it's paid. No spreadsheets needed.
The Freight Nexus difference
38% of trucks across southern Africa travel empty on return legs. That's billions in lost revenue every year. Freight Nexus created Africa's first Empty Return Marketplace to fix that.
Truck delivers full load
Walvis Bay → Windhoek. Job complete, invoice sent.
Posts return capacity
Transporter lists: Tanker, 45 000L, available tomorrow, returning coast.
Business books the return
Construction company needs materials moved Windhoek → coast. Perfect match.
Both sides win
Shipper pays a lower rate. Transporter earns revenue on a trip they'd have made anyway.
Compliance management
Roadblocks, fines, and delayed shipments because of lapsed compliance documents cost the industry millions. Freight Nexus tracks every document for every vehicle, driver, and your company — automatically.

Automatic expiry alerts
Freight Nexus sends alerts at 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before any document expires — via email, SMS, and in-app notification. Clients can see your compliance health when reviewing your quote.

Every transporter goes through a verification process: company registration documents, operating licences, and at least one vehicle compliance check. Verified transporters display a ✓ badge on their profile and listings. You can always see a transporter's compliance health before awarding them a job.
Freight Nexus maintains a complete digital audit trail of everything: the original load posting, the quote, the award message, all status updates, the digital Proof of Delivery, and the invoice. In the event of a dispute, this record is available to both parties and can be shared with insurers or legal parties if needed.
Yes. Freight Nexus is built specifically for southern African cross-border freight — Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Zambia and expanding. Cross-border operator permits are part of the compliance tracking system, and loads can specify cross-border requirements.
Absolutely. Freight Nexus is fully mobile-responsive. Drivers use it to update job status and capture Proof of Delivery in the field. Dispatchers track from their phones. The web app works on any device — a dedicated driver mobile app is coming soon.
All of them. Bulk liquids (fuel, chemicals), dry bulk (mining ore, grain, cement), refrigerated goods, livestock, containers, construction materials, general cargo, and dangerous goods. If it needs a truck, Freight Nexus can help move it.
